Uniforms

Az-Zahraa Islamic Academy cultivates a strong Islamic identity through our dress code policy. Our uniform and appearance guidelines are designed to foster an atmosphere of respect, modesty, and dignity. We believe that proper attire contributes significantly to a positive learning environment.

Students are required to wear clean, regulation uniforms daily, unless specifically instructed otherwise by their teachers. To ensure uniformity and adherence to our standards, all official uniform items – including scarves, tunics, kilts, pants, sweaters, and jackets – must be purchased from our designated supplier.

This dress code not only reflects our Islamic values but also promotes a sense of unity and belonging among our student body. By adhering to these guidelines, students learn the importance of presenting themselves appropriately, a skill that will serve them well beyond their academic years.

Az-Zahraa Islamic Academy offers a comprehensive, competitively priced transportation network, featuring five strategically planned bus routes serving the diverse neighborhoods of the Lower Mainland. 

Our reliable fleet operates daily, perfectly synchronized with the school’s academic schedule, ensuring safe and convenient access to education for all enrolled students. 

From bustling urban centers to quiet suburban areas, our buses traverse the region, making Az-Zahraa’s quality education accessible regardless of a student’s home location. This service not only eases the logistical burden on parents but also fosters a sense of community among students who share their daily journeys, creating a unique bond before and after school hours.

How to apply

Applications are accepted beginning in the spring prior to the next school year. It is imperative that the parent/guardian returns the forms fully completed and submits all relevant documentation at the time of registration. This includes:

  • Registration Form
  • Immunization Record
  • Copy of Birth Certificate
  • Copy of Immigration paper or Canadian citizen card or Refugee Status (if the child is born outside Canada)
  • Copy of Legal Residency of Parent
  • Copy of B.C. Care Card
  • Copy of last Report Card
  • Non-refundable Registration Fee of $250.00
  • Non-refundable Registration Testing Fee of $100.00

The absence of any of the above documents delays the admission process.
